The Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. presented Selma University 

with a $50,000 donation to the University's endowment fund.  The donation 

is from the AKA's HBCU Endowment Fund.

HBCU Change is a great way to donate your spare change to the University. Search HBCU Change in your App Store and sign up.  Also, you are welcome to stop by the University and drop off your donation in person or visit the homepage of this website.

 

Alumni Spotlight:
Dr. Mattie Moss Clark studied classical music and choral singing at Selma University. Later, she became a renowned choir director and mother of the Grammy Award-winning gospel group, The Clark Sisters.  Dr. Clark is also the aunt of renowned contemporary and Grammy-nominated Christian recording artist J. Moss.

Commencement 2021:
Congratulations to Selma University 2021 graduates.  Family and friends filled the socially distanced seats in the Jemison-Owens Auditorium on Friday, May 14, 2021.  The commencement speaker, Dr. Avis Williams, Superintendent of Selma City Schools, electrified the audience and reminded us that our joy comes from God; and, the world can’t take it away.  Thank you, Dr. Williams, for an inspiring and challenging message.
