Athletics with a Higher Purpose

At Selma University, intercollegiate athletics are an extension of our educational and Christian mission. We believe student-athletes should be developed not only for competition, but also for lives of leadership, integrity, scholarship, spiritual growth, and service.

Our relationship with the NCCAA complements Selma University’s commitment to preparing generative servant leaders. Through athletics, students have opportunities to develop discipline, perseverance, teamwork, accountability, and Christian character while representing the University in competition.

The NCCAA Difference

The NCCAA combines competitive intercollegiate athletics with an intentional commitment to Christian discipleship and service. Its #KingChasing initiative is built around the Game Plan 4 LIFE values of Love, Integrity, Faith, and Excellence. The association also incorporates Christian service projects and spiritual support into championship experiences and provides opportunities for student-athletes and coaches to participate in sports ministry and mission endeavors.
