A GLIMPSE INTO OUR HISTORY

​

The Stone-Robinson Library was erected in 1960 and named for Miss Susie Stone, Secretary of the Women’s Convention, and Reverend U. J. Robinson, President of the Alabama State Missionary Baptist Convention.  The Stone-Robinson Library supports Selma University mission to prepare men and women to be servant leaders throughout the world by providing access to information services that support the curriculum and research needs of its students.

Virtual Hours
The Stone-Robinson Library services are virtual and onsite.  The Stone-Robinson Library encourages the use of online library services.  Students have access to open education resources such as Alabama Virtual Library and a wide range of electronic resources to help with their research.  Students also have access to a librarian through the services Ask-A-Librarian, and Book-A-Librarian.  Use these services to ask questions about research, library services, and policies.  Faculty also has access to a librarian through the service Book-A-Librarian to ask questions about research, library services, and information literacy tutorials and policies.  Selma University Students and Faculty have access to the Stone-Robinson Library’s collection of over 25,000 circulating and non-circulating items that cover many subjects.

Additionally, you can also arrange for an individual library or group instruction sessions in person, by phone, or via email thru Book-A-Librarian.
